Indian Green Building Council (IGBC)
The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), part of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) was formed in the year 2001. The vision of the council is, “To enable a sustainable built environment for all and facilitate India to be one of the global leaders in the sustainable built environment by 2030”.
GreenCo Rating System
The CII GreenCo Rating System stands as a pioneering and first-of-its-kind framework that recognises and facilitates the growth of top-notch green companies in India. It was launched in 2011 and developed as a voluntary standard through extensive stakeholder consultation.
GreenPro
GreenPro is a Type – 1 Ecolabel which enables the end users in the building sector and manufacturing industries to choose right products, materials and technologies for reducing the environment impacts during the construction, operation and maintenance of their buildings and factories.
Renewable Energy Council
Renewable Energy Council of CII - Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre is working with a vision to enable India to emerge as a global leader in renewable energy. This division is headed by an exclusive council consisting of senior members drawn from industry, manufacturers, users, educational institutions & nodal agencies.
Green Entrepreneurship Council
CII - Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre has formed the Green Entrepreneurship Council (GEC), with a vision to facilitate India become one of the leaders in cleantech entrepreneurship by 2025. To advance the objectives of the council, GEC has launched the Acceleration of Cleaner Enterprises or ACE program.
Council on Green Mobility
The CII Council on Green Mobility was formed in May 2024 to support India’s movement towards green mobility, which will, in turn, support national net zero goals. The Council will engage and involve all stakeholders to leverage their expertise in developing actions on green mobility.
Green Cooling Council
The Green Cooling Council serves as a dynamic knowledge and technology-focused platform dedicated to advancing sustainable cooling solutions. The council aims to foster global partnerships, promote cutting-edge research, and create an ecosystem that supports innovative solutions for OEMs and end-users.
